NOTES TO 2008 RACE SCHEDULE

OLD BIRDS

A race upfront fee:

B race upfront fee:

Friday race:  $ 1.00 per Bird

Races:  “A”, “B”, and “Friday” Races.

Friday Shipping:   “A” and “B” Races will be flown.  Both to be released on Saturday from the same station, 1/2 hour apart.  There will be 10 “A” Races and 5 “B” Races.  

Thursday Shipping: An “A” Race to be released on Saturday.  And a “Friday Special Race” to be released on Friday from the station named in the race schedule.  A “Friday release” is NOT a “B” Race; it is a “Special Race”.  There will be 5 “Friday Special Races”.

Bird Limits:

 “A” Races:                   Large Loft (15 birds) Small Loft (8 birds).

 “B” Races:                   Large Loft (15 birds) Small Loft (8 birds). Limits could change due to lack of space

" Note" A flyer can fly full "A" team and a 1/2 "B" team ,but CAN NOT fly 1/2 "A" team and full "B" team. NO acceptations

“Friday Races”            Large Loft (15 birds) Small Loft (8 birds). Limits could change due to lack of space

Trainers:                       Only if, and when, space is available.          50 cents per Bird

 ***     IMPORTANT NOTICE:    In all matters, the order of priority is “A”, “B”, “Friday” and lastly “Trainers”.  Bird limits for “B” and “Friday” races are subject to adjustment.  Based on the estimated number of flyers provided to the Truck Chairman by the Club Race Secretaries the bird limits for the “B” and “Friday” races may be adjusted downwards prior to the first race.  Once lowered bird limits can not be revised upward during the remainder of the season, even if space becomes available.  The BCC Truck Chairman, BCC Race Secretary and BCC President will make bird limit adjustments jointly.  Limits will be the same for all Clubs.  . 

Fees:  Before a flyer can participate in any race, the flyer must pay all Upfront Fees.  Clubs are not to accept any bird for shipping until after the applicable fees are paid.  Only flyers who are in good standing with their individual clubs, have paid their 2008 dues to the AU,  BCC, their individual club and owe no money to the BCC or any BCC Club may enter birds in any race.

“A” Races.  The BCC Treasurer will determine “A” Race Upfront fees prior to the start of the season.  Large Lofts will pay 100% of the Upfront Fee.  Small Lofts will pay 50% of the Upfront Fee.

 “B” Races.  Large Lofts will pay 50% of the A race Upfront Fee.  Small Lofts will pay 25% of the A race Upfront Fee.  Before a flyer can enter a “B” Race the flyer must pay both the "A " and “B” Race Upfront Fees.

 “Friday Special” Races.  Fee is $1.00 per bird.   Before a flyer can enter a “Friday Special” Race the flyer must pay  the “A” Race Upfront Fees.

 “Trainer”.        Fees is $0.50 per bird. Before a flyer can ship Trainers the flyer must pay  the “A”  Upfront Fees.
