Learn About Our Sport
Pigeon racing is the sport of releasing specially trained racing pigeons, which then return to their homes over a carefully measured distance. The time it takes the pigeon to cover the specified distance is measured and the bird's rate of travel is calculated and compared with all of the other pigeons in the race to determine which pigeon returned at the highest speed.
Racing pigeons are treated like thoroughbreds and receive the best care possible, including health care, excellent feed, clean lofts and a lot of attention.
Below are a couple of very interesting videos that go in depth about the sport and these amazing birds.
